Microsoft enters into RPA with ‘Power Automate’

Microsoft recently launched its own robotic process automation (RPA) solution with its new rebranded product Power Automate in the event Ignite 2019 at Orlando. This product is formerly known as ‘Flow’ that has intended functionality of automating the workflows. Team, who works for the no-coding Power Platform has rebranded Microsoft Flow as Power Automate and enhanced more features to that such as integration with Teams, Power Virtual agents, and pre-built models for AI builder. Power Automate provides a unified automation platform that can fulfill the gap between API-based automation and UI-based automation.

With the launch of Power Automate in the Power Platform, Microsoft facilitates anyone in your company to be a developer. One of the distinct features in Power Automate is UI flows that helps in recording manual processes and automating them easily in a few clicks.

Enhanced features of implementing Virtual Agents support prebuilt integrations, and developers can enrich no-code bots to take advantage of Bot Framework and Cognitive Services. Power Virtual Agents in Power Automate will lead experts in your company from any domains to create bots easily with no-code and guided user interface. Power Automate gives extensive integration with Microsoft Office 365 and Teams that further enriches you to work together. This product is available in Mobile applications for Android and iOS devices. Microsoft company rebranded the tool Microsoft Flow as Power Automate and added to its Power Platform such as Power Apps and Power BI. Microsoft attempts to create this automated tool for end users to automate with user interface controls and readily available templates.

Experts reveal that this tool will compete with other RPA tools like BluePrism, UiPath, and Automation Anywhere.
