Anaconda teams up with Teradata to improve open-source AI support
Anaconda and Teradata have announced a new collaboration to integrate popular Python and R packages from the Anaconda Repository into Teradata VantageCloud. This integration with ClearScape Analytics aims to enable enterprises to deploy large-scale data science, AI/ML, and generative AI use cases cost-effectively.
The partnership between Anaconda and Teradata aims to provide a platform that allows for the quick application of secure open-source packages while delivering scale, performance, and access to harmonized data and trusted AI. The goal is to accelerate the deployment and operationalization of AI/ML solutions developed using Anaconda’s repository of open-source Python and R packages.
Hillary Ashton, chief product officer at Teradata, expressed excitement about bringing popular open-source packages to Teradata VantageCloud Lake through the partnership with Anaconda. This collaboration empowers enterprise users to leverage Anaconda’s platform for AI/ML and data science, along with Teradata’s cloud analytics and data platform for AI.
Customers of Teradata VantageCloud Lake can download Python and R packages from the Anaconda Repository at no extra cost. Python packages are already available, with R packages set to be released later this year.
